Hiroshima Art Museum

The Hiroshima Art Museum is located just south of Hiroshima Castle. The building is modeled after the Atomic Bomb Dome and its corridors are inspired by Itsukushima Shrine. The museum is dedicated to “Love and Peace” to honor the victims of the atomic bomb. The museum is surrounded by a beautiful garden where koi fish can be found swimming in the fountain. The museum exhibits works of many famous artists, like Van Gogh and Monet, while also displaying art created by Japanese artists. There is something for everyone in this museum.
